You Only Know What You Know!

 Most of the time, We judge people by their appearance without even knowing them, Oh, he is like that, She is like this. How easy to judge a book by it’s cover!

Would like to recall an incident which changed my perspective about life & others. Back in 2019, Toughest days our life: the time when mom was battling for her life. I used to sit in hospital for long hours, It was almost 10 days of mom being in ICU and Those who have gone through same situation would know, It will be very tiring to answer all the calls and to give updates to everyone like how is she doing etc etc.I started getting anxiety and irritated after one point.

So, I was sitting in the patient caretaker corridor at hospital and there was this one guy came and asked me, how is your mom doing. I dint know him, I said yea she is doing better. He went back and sat. Next day he came and asked the same question, I replied yes, she is doing better than yesterday. He dint stop there & went on asking, I heard today while you were talking with doctor that your mom was trying to open her eyes, how many days it has been. I lost my patience and said its almost 12 days now but why are you asking this, Do I know you. 

As he started speaking his eyes filled with tears. My mom too met with an accident 2 days ago, he said. Since then she is in coma and doctor has put her in ICU. I was checking with you so I can also have hope that my mom will also be alright one day. But today I am shifting her from this private hospital to Govt hospital as I am unable to bare the expenses here, rest is in the hands of god, his voice trumbled. Sorry madam, Please dont mind if I have troubled you, He walked away!

I was stunned, Dint know how to react.That was the last time I saw him. How quick was I to judge a person, How quick was I to react on him. I can never forget his face! We think we are living difficult life, Imagine, How helpless he would have felt when he want his mom to recover but dont have enough money to get her treatment done!

Wherever he is now, I wish he is at peace and his mom has recovered well.

When you dont know the person, Dont sit and Judge!Afterall you just think you know them, But the real question is do you really know them?!
